Join author Joshua Santospirito as he talks to writer and editor Jane Rawson about Lee Lai’s “rare and powerful” brand new graphic novel, Cannon, which “explores the intimacy of queer friendship and the weight of family responsibility [and] maps the wreckage of growing up, and the fragile glue that holds us together”.

Joshua Santospirito (he/him) is a multimedia artist, musician and graphic novelist. He is one half of the beloved experimental classical band Bing/Santospirito, long-term convenor of the The Small Press Zine Fair in Hobart, comics editor at Island and the author of The Islands Where We Left Our Ancestors (2024), Swallows Part One (2015) and The Long Weekend in Alice Springs (2013).
